When disaster strikes, phone lines and communications systems are either destroyed or unreliable, often in places where infrastructure was already limited. But it's at times like these that communication is more important than ever. Without good communication, an organised, efficient and timely response in collaboration with other organisations is near-on impossible.

MAF can draw upon vast experience in technology and disaster response to set up communications systems as a first priority when arriving on scene. In addition to personal satellite phones and smaller BGAN terminals, MAF has the expertise and equipment to set up off-grid mobile VSAT and Starlink Terminals, opening up lines of high bandwidth communication when it's needed most.
